The paste quickly cures to a durable and resilient silicone rubber at room temperature with primerless adhesion to many substrates.The thick consistency makes it appropriate for application to vertical and overhead surfaces and also facilitates the fixture of small parts in place whilst the adhesive cures.   RTV 210 is typically used with catalyst RTV224B. These two materials together offer the following Key Performance Properties: Very fast room temperature cure Two component for controlled cure rate Primerless adhesion to many substrates Low odour Non-corrosive to metals, compatible with many plastics Low temperature flexibility Excellent weatherability, ozone and chemical resistance Excellent electrical insulation properties RTV210A - RTV224B Technical Data Sheet Some of our customers use this product in various applications such as oven doors, solar panels, automotive headlamps and electronic and electrical devices. Different curing times and colours can be achieved using other catalysts; contact Techsil for more information. Techsil supply RTV 210 and its' catalyst in various sizes (pails, drums and tubes) and easy-to-use double dispensing cartridges with a mixer nozzle that dispenses the materials already mixed in the correct ratios.   RTV 210 is manufactured by Momentive Performance Materials (formerly GE Bayer Silicones). Techsil are approved distributors for Momentive.         Price Changes   A note from Paul Hughes, our Managing Director, "As we are all aware, over the last 6 months, the markets have become increasingly unstable and there are inflationary pressures all over the economy.   One of the key drivers of these increases has been the price of oil. Since February 08, crude oil has increased by 30%. In addition, other commodity ingredients of silicones (such as tin, copper, platinum and silicone metal) have also been hit by increases.   Our suppliers increased prices to us from the beginning of May. We have been happy to hold our prices while our stock of 'old price' goods were being sold off. However, from the beginning of July, these stocks will be exhausted. Therefore, from July 7th 2008 we will be increasing the price of our silicones and release agents by 7%. All other prices (for example carriage, PU's and other non-silicone items) will remain unchanged. All forward orders we have already received will be honoured at the current price until the end of July 2008.   At the same time I am introducing free carriage on all shipments to mainland UK where the value of goods sold exceeds £500.00. Hopefully, this will enable a part mitigation of the increase to those who are able to consolidate orders. Additionally, it may be possible to qualify for better volume price breaks.
