Momentive: From Momentive Performance Materials we supply RTV silicones that consist of rubber and gel products developed for adhesion, sealing, coating and encapsulation/potting applications in medical devices. These RTV products can offer optical clarity, extra thermal cycling protection, superior mechanical and environmental protection and have FDA and USP Class VI compliance. Momentive’s Silicone Gels are used for cushioning and pressure care and can be customized to meet a variety of requirements including viscosity, hardness, modulus and tack or adhesion.

ITW Stokvis: Stokvis produce a variety of self-adhesive tapes in the health care field used for: device fixation, wound care, ostomy stoma, surgical, life sciences diagnostics, transdermal drug delivery and prosthetics / orthopaedic. Stokvis Tapes for wound care are non-sensitizing and non-migratory. The adhesives that they use are highly breathable and long-lasting. Many of their wound care applications involve latex-free adhesives to reduce the possibility of allergic reactions. Stokvis Tapes converts and fabricates pressure sensitive (PSA) and non-PSA materials used in life sciences and diagnostics.

Panacol: Thanks to Panacol's fast-curing adhesives, especially disposable medical devices can be assembled quickly and safely while keeping production costs low. New tests have shown that in many applications it takes only seconds for Panacol adhesives to be fully cured using Hönle's high-intensity LED Powerline at a wavelength of 405nm. Typical applications in the production of medical devices are needle-bonding, joining transparent polycarbonate or acrylic housing parts in blood oxygenators, sealing of stainless steel cannulaes into flexible PVC infusion lines, and coating of PCBs in hearing aids.

Panacol's flexible adhesives ensure reliable bonded joints without inducing stress cracking. Offering a wide viscosity range from capillary flow to gap filling, the adhesives can be used for bonding various materials and even dissimilar substrates such as glass, metals and plastics. With new epoxy adhesive Vitralit® 1655 and acrylate Vitralit® 4731, Panacol is expanding its portfolio of PVC and polycarbonate adhesives. The new portfolio also includes Vitralit® 7562, a highly moisture-resistant adhesive that maintains high adhesion after a seven-day water immersion.

All adhesives in Panacol's medical portfolio are also compatible with the full range of common sterilisation processes such as autoclaving, EO or gamma and electron-beam radiation. They are solvent-free and are certified USP Class VI and/or ISO 10993, underscoring our focus on superior quality and biological tolerance. Our fluorescent adhesives offer the added benefit of maximum process and quality control for every single produced device. Panacol also provides customised solutions for special applications.
