Hot Melt Glue Guns

Techsil have a range of hotmelt glue guns available.

Hot Melt Glue GunsGlue guns are designed to dispense cured resin glue sticks; they work by heating the glue sticks to the required temperature to melt the stick into a molten adhesive which is then squeezed through the nozzle. Glue guns are available in both low melt and hot melt versions. Low melt tools melt specialist lowmelt glue sticks at a temperature of 130°C, the hot melt tools melt hotmelt glue sticks at a higher temperature of 195°C.

Hot melt is classified as the standard, however low melt is recommended for applications where safety is a concern, or the substrates being bonded and temperature sensitive, for example floral applications.

Tool selection should be based on the amount of adhesive required per assembly, as well as the number of assemblies needed to be produced per hour.
In general the larger tools are more powerful and are capable of providing greater volumes of hot melt adhesive at the correct temperature for optimum bonding.
