LOCTITE® 638 is a high strength, general purpose thread locker of high bond strength. Designed for the bonding of cylindrical fitting parts, particularly where bond gaps can approach 0.25mm.

Details

LOCTITE® 638 is a 1 part retaining compound, which offers high strength, high temperature performance and good oil resistance. It tolerates minor surface contaminations from various oils, such as cutting lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids.

LOCTITE® 638 is suitable for use on active metals but also on passive substrates, like stainless steel and plated surfaces, exhibiting robust cure performance.

Ideal for shafts, gears, pulleys and similar cylindrical parts, and can be used for high-strength thread locking and thread-sealing applications.
