PPG PR1826 Class B is a rapid cure, two-part, aircraft integral fuel tank sealant with a service temperature range of -62°C to 160°C. Designed for fillet sealing of fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage sealing applications.
PPG PR1826 Class B is a rapid cure, two-part epoxy sealant designed for fillet sealing of fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage sealing applications. PR1826-B2 has a service temperature range from -62°C to 160°C, with intermittent excursions up to 216°C making it ideal for sealing integral fuel tanks.
The uncured material is low sag, thixotropic paste which is suitable for application by gun or spatula. Once cured, this sealant maintains excellent elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas.
Unlike standard polysulfide fuel tank sealants, PR1826 can cure at low temperatures and is unaffected by changes in relative humidity.
PPG PR1826 Class B is a two-part epoxy cured PPG Permapol P-3 polythioether compound.
