TECHSiL’s Guide to Momentive INVISISIL Optical Bonding
Momentive INVISISIL optically clear silicones deliver optical clarity and protection required by optical applications and LED lighting. During testing under prolonged heat exposure, INVISISIL LED encapsulants were shown to maintain non-yellowing light transmittance more effectively than the LED-grade epoxy substrate they were bonded to. By resisting yellowing these silicones maintain their light transmittance and resists degradation – extending the lifespan of electronics. This is especially important in application where high temperatures and UV light is present such as automotive lights and outdoor applications.
