Tecbond 214B is the world’s first fully certified biodegradable shaped hot melt adhesive. Available in various formats, Tecbond 214B is designed to biodegrade in the presence of oxygen, UV light and heat. Based on the best selling Tecbond 214 packaging adhesive, Tecbond 214B retains all the benefits whilst breaking down after use.
Tecbond 214B is a biodegradable packaging adhesive made with 45% bio-based sustainably sourced raw materials designed for use on cardboard & paper substrate. This hotmelt adhesive is designed to biodegrade in the presence of oxygen.
This biodegradable hot melt has a short open time speeding up carton closure processes with no need for clamping, making it a great alternative to staples for cardboard bonding.
Applications include carton closing, packaging inserts, tray assembly, point of sale and packaging applications.
Tecbond 214B is certified to ASTM D6400, EN13432, ASTM D6954 and ASTM D6866 standards.
