As part of the silicone industry, we understand that while crucial, they come with environmental challenges; to give back to the planet, we will be planting trees on behalf of our website customers

Throughout the summer, across the world we celebrate various environmental days: World Environment Day, World Rainforest Day and World Nature Conservation Day. In honour of these and alongside a host of other sustainability actions, TECHSiL will be planting a tree on behalf of all customers who place orders via our website during June and July.

We are committed to delivering value responsibly and playing our part to create a more sustainable future. This tree planting program is step towards this, an investment in climate positive action.

We will be working with Ecologi, who support projects which benefit local people, nature, restore habitats, and support local livelihoods, with reforestation projects from the UK to Australia to Senegal and the Appalachians.

Why Plant Trees? 

By planting trees, we can help to mitigate climate change, support biodiversity, and help improve human health and happiness.

The conservation and restoration of forests helps to absorb carbon from the atmosphere; this natural carbon absorption is better than any man-made removal solution.

Trees also provide habitats, food, and shelter to wildlife and local communities and can help to purify the air and water sources- improving the health of locals.

What types of Trees do Ecologi plant? 

• Mangrove trees to protect communities against coastal flooding in Madagascar.
• Polylepis trees to strengthen water security for people in the high Andes.
• Fruit trees to provide food and income for farmers in Uganda and Morocco.
