INDUSTRY APPLICATIONS
Power Adhesives hotmelt is idea for assembly of mass produced and custom products offering clear options for seamless aesthetic joints, removing the need for holes, screws and bolts. Temperature and moisture resistant solutions are available for HVAC applications and offer bonds that withstand thermal fluctuations.
Applications include HVAC systems, white goods, electronic appliances, and installation.
Biodegradable adhesive solutions from Power Adhesives which are suitable for a range of packaging materials including foam and polystyrene. Hotmelt offers a clean cost-effective sealing solution to replace stables, with many Tecbond formulations also being approved for indirect food contact. These adhesives excel in demanding transport and storage conditions.
Applications include carton sealing, packaging inserts, tray assembly, pallet stabilisation, and tamper proof bonds.
Hotmelt adhesives are ideal for potting and encapsulation applications creating a robust barrier against contaminants, offering superior protection and insulating properties. Tecbond hotmelt adhesives are also solvent free with no VOCs making them more environmentally friendly and remain flexible after setting to accommodate for thermal expansion and contraction.

With instant bonds, Casttec eliminates the need for clamping and is an economical and safer solution compared to magnets, screws and bolts.
FOAM & INSULATION
Bond foam and insulating materials quickly with Power Adhesives high performance adhesives. VOC free solutions for near instant bonding for foam, are an alternative to harmful solvent adhesives helping reduce production costs. Tecbond sprayable adhesives also remove the risk of mould growth in mattress manufacturing, as they set, instead of cure, with no moisture release.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
UV light, oxygen and heat initiate the breakdown of the long chain polymers in the adhesive, once this starts it cannot be reversed. After this, only oxygen is required to continue the breakdown. After the polymers have been broken down they are consumed by mirco-organisms, much like natural waste.
Power Adhesive hot melts allow for PDR without impacting the integrity and appearance of the bodywork. Suitable grades include Tecbond 240 and Tecbond 246. For more information contact our experts.
Bulk adhesives are best for high speed and high volume operations while shaped hotmelt (slugs or sticks) are better for precision applications. Our team can help you decide the right hot melt format for your needs.
It is recommended not to use the Tecbond biodegradable grades 24 months after the date of manufacture.
